Invited Faculty - Kenji Yuzawa

Kenji Yuzawa, M.D. Pd.D graduated from the University of Tsukuba School of Medicine in 1982 and received a Ph.D in 1988. He trained in surgery and organ transplantation and became the Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University if Tsukuba in 1991. He worked as a Research Fellow from 1997 to 1999 in the division of Immunology and Organ Transplantation, University of Texas, Houston. He is now the Director of the Department of Transplantation Surgery and Clinical Research Laboratory for Organ Transplantation in the National Hospital Organisation Mito Medical Centre. He is the Executive and Chair of the Case Registration Committee in the Japan Society for Transplantation and is a member of the Task Force on Renal Transplantation in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for Japan. He is a member of the Education Committee of TTS.
